Direct Aid

Many families struggle due to unexpected job loss, fires, and other hardships. We are often able to assist them with payment on utility bills, food, clothing and medication assistance with the following major illness categories: Asthma, Hypertension, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Mental Illness, Seizures, and Cholesterol.

Services are limited to available funding.

Clients may call for an appointment on Tuesday or Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Thrift Store

Shoppers at CSS Thrift Store enjoy low prices and quality merchandise. Store hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Donations of clothes, furniture and household items are received 5 days a week. Donations are categorized and examined for damage by volunteers. Thrift Store Volunteers contribute over 280 hours of service each month.

Direct Aid supplies CSS Thrift Store vouchers for people in need of clothes and household items.

Counseling Services

In a spirit of compassion and recognizing the dignity and worth of every individual, counseling services are provided to individuals, young and old, who are experiencing difficulties in coping with day to day problems.

Our counseling programs include marriage, individual, family and spiritual counseling; counseling to those troubled with trauma issues due to early childhood abuse, divorce, death of a loved one, and to assist transition trough various stages of life.

St. Margaret’s Services

St. Margaret’s Elderly Services serves those individuals 65 years and above who fall below the poverty line and need assistance in order to maintain independence rather than go into a nursing home. The services provided include obtaining all paperwork necessary for access to Food Stamp and other benefits for which they are entitled; transportation, coordination; regular visits and monitoring calls; coordinating and advocating with other service and business providers and family members.

Legal Immigration Services

The office currently provides multifaceted professional programs serving the poor or distressed through casework, emergency assistance, information, referrals, resource development, and various other special services.  Catholic Social Services is an affiliate of the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC), a national agency that provides extensive support to immigration legal services agencies.  Our Immigration Specialist is a DOJ Recognized Representative.
